The global base metal trade (export + import) has raised to USD 4205.22 billion in 2022 increase of 3.70% compared to 2021 which was USD 4055.22 billion. The base metal trade represented 8.39% of total global trade.

Abu Dhabi Base Metal and Articles trade was AED 53.31 Billion in 2022, increase of 9.36% compared to 2021. Abu Dhabi Base Metal and Articles exports were AED 25.32 Billion in 2022 which accounts for 25.6% of Abu Dhabi export. Abu Dhabi Base Metal and Articles imports were AED 25.05 Billion in 2022 which accounted for 21.9% of the total Abu Dhabi imports. Abu Dhabi Base Metal and Articles re-exports were AED 2.95 Billion in 2022 which accounted for 6.23% of the total Abu Dhabi re-export.
